Name:Probable enclosure at Dockwell Farm, South Brent

Summary

Site of enclosure at dockwell, indicated by curve in hedge etc. Vis=estimated -/-/1980 (robinson, r. ). The area immediately in front of the farmhouse is a level circle slightly terraced into the slope, bounded on the n side by the curved edge to the area around the farmhouse and buildings. It could represent a prehistoric enclosure totally robbed of stone and this is borne out by the appearance on the aerial photograph of 1946.

A Bronze Age enclosure is suspected near Dockwell Farm, at SX69906375, from a curved hedge-line seen on aerial photographs.
