LiDAR confirms presence of a barrow, suggested on geophysical survey

Beaverstock, K, 2021, Land at Coldharbour Farm, Ashreigney, Torridge, Devon: Geophysical Survey (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV364583.

To the northwest of Coldharbour Farm, a circular positive linear anomaly with a central circular discrete anomaly [10] is recorded. These correspond to a slight earthwork mound seen above ground, suggesting that these may represent the ditch and central feature of a round barrow. This feature measured circa 21 metres in diameter although its northern extent could not be determined due to the field boundary and road to the north.

Environment Agency, 2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Lidar visualisation (Cartographic). SDV366001.

An earthwork mound is visible.
