(30/03/1999) Centred SX 7628 7674. Fragments of a prehistoric field system - probably part of Haytor and Saddle Tor parallel reave system (SX 77 NE 31) - and a hut circle at SX 7630 7678.
The enclosure walls consist of turf-covered stony spreads of up to 2m wide, with orthostats surviving in-situ at several points. The remains are fragmentary and the overall layout is not easy to define but appears to comprise a rhomboid enclosure attached to the N side of an E - W reave, with internal sub-division. The hut circle is attached to the end of one sub-divisional wall. It has a diameter of 6.7m with walls standing to up to 0.5m in places and spread to 3m on the downslope side. There is some stone visible in the walling including 2 in-situ orthostats. The hut has a level interior and no visible entrance. For plan see RCHME 1999.
