Stone marked on the south side of the road.

Jenkinson, T., 2005, County bridge stones (Personal Comment). SDV347730.

The County stones [marked with a 'C'] were set up to mark the limits of the county bridge builders about 100 yards to either side of the bridge. The bridges were either built or altered from the 15the century onwards to accommodate the growing number of horse drawn carriages.

Piper, M., 2022, Bunker's Bridge County Bridge Stone (Correspondence). SDV365226.

The stone, which is marked on historic maps, has not been found. Its northern counterpart, however, which isn't marked, is still extant.
