Summary

Linear ditches are visible on images derived from lidar data as earthworks to the east of Simpson Moor or Anvil Corner, Cookbury parish. The ditches might represent a rectilinear enclosure of unknown but potentially later prehistoric date or former field boundaries, partly depicted on the Tithe map for Cookbury.

Rectilinear earthwork enclosure measuring c.80m x 60m, seemingly fossilised by boundaries shown on the parish Tithe map and evidence by a clear ditch on the north, east, and south sides. It is possible that this is related to historic landscape development.
