Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

The circa 1840 tithe apportionment records plot 253 as Lower Lime House Field. No buildings are depicted. The enclosure may be associated with this field name.

University of Exeter, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Unlocking Landscapes Project – validated data, ULDEV222 (Interpretation). SDV365999.

A possible square embanked enclosure is visible on a gentle slope above Bow Creek. Note that this is faint and it is only a possibility.

Environment Agency, 2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Lidar visualisation (Cartographic). SDV366001.

A rectilinear platform or terrace is visible as a subtle earthwork.

Hegarty, C., 2024, Comment on Unlocking Landscapes project lidar interpretation and associated aerial photograph interpretations (Personal Comment). SDV366085.

The eathwork is very subtle but may represent an enclosure of medieval to post-medieval date, that was cleared prior to the mid-19th century.
