Possible rectilinear earthwork enclosure on slight promontory immediately above the River Dart. Whilst this might be one component of a lost field pattern that would have to be pre-Tithe. The southern side of the 'enclosure' does have a dead-straight ditch outside the bank, and this would be unusual given that it sits directly adjacent to the river cliff.

Environment Agency, 2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Lidar visualisation (Cartographic). SDV366001.

A rectilinear earthwork platform or terrace approximately 60m long and 50m wide is visible.

Hegarty, C., 2024, Comment on Unlocking Landscapes project interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366085.

The visible earthworks do not corrrespond to any features depicted on the Tithe Map for Berry Pomeroy, but are keeping with the character of the extant field boundaries to the east, which have been characterised by HLC as possibly of medieval to post-medieval origin.
