Summary

A bank and ditch defined circular enclosure of probable prehistoric date is visible on images derived from lidar data as an earthwork located on the east-facing ridge slopes under Panson Wood, St Giles on the Heath parish, overlooking the combe of the River Carey. The circular enclosure may sit within a larger rectilinear enclosure, a partial bank visible to the south.

Circular enclosure max 33m across. Possible entrance on the southern side. Located above the river valley about 30m down from the highest point 210 m further up the hill.

A circular ditched enclosure and possible adjacent linear bank are visible as earthworks.
