Summary

A possible circular enclosure, potentially of later prehistoric date, is visible on images derived from lidar data as a curvilinear earthwork bank situated on the upper southeast facing slopes of a spur overlooking the valley of the Little Dart River. Witheridge parish.

The bank has probably been spread by modern agricultural practices and some evidence of damage from ploughing or drainage improvement is apparent. Nonetheless, slight evidence for an external ditch is visible. The bank encloses an area up to 15m in diameter and a break up to 8m wide in the southern edge might represent an entrance.
