Summary
Site of the original Hornhill Farm. The southern range was demolished in the late 19th-early 20th century when a new courtyard farmstead was built to the north, now called Home Farm. The surviving north range is now part of Home Farm.

Full description

Recorded as House, Building and Courtlage (Plot 365) on the Poltimore Tithe Apportionment.

Hornhill marked on the east side of the lane, comprising ranges of buildings on the north, east and south sides of a long, rectangular yard oriented east-west, with an additional building on the west side of the lane. The farmhouse is shown on the north side of the yard.

Hornhill marked. Comparison with the Tithe Map shows the range of buildings on the east side of the yard to have gone. One of the buildings on the north side of the yard is a long, open-fronted linhay.

The buildings on the south side of the yard have been removed and a new model farm type, courtyard range has been built to the north. Marked as Hornhill Farm.

Block of farm buildings shown on the Tithe Map (west section of parcel #365) believed to be removed circa 1850 when this farmstead was turned into the base for a pack of hounds, with additional accommodation added alongside the farmhouse for hunt staff.

Only the buildings on the north side of the yard are still extant, now part of Home Farm. The small building on the other side of the lane also looks to be still extant.
