A bank is visible as an earthwork defining a rectilinear enclosure approximately 100m long and 45m wide.

Hegarty, C., 2024, Comment on Unlocking Landscapes project interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366085.

The date of the enclosure is unclear. It does not correspond to any enclosure depicted on the Tithe Map for East Allington or the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map and appears to be bisected by a former track suggesting it predates the post-medieval period. The western end of the enclosure appears to be aligned upon or possibly be fossilised within the extant field system, which could support an interpretation of a prehistoric to medieval date. Although the regular rectilinear plan might suggest a Roman date it does not appear typical of enclosures of this period.
