Summary

A circular enclosure possibly of Iron Age to Roman date is visible on images derived from lidar data as a curvilinear earthwork bank and possible outer ditch on the south-facing slopes to the south of Streathay House, Colyton parish.

An earthwork bank up to circa 10m wide is visible defining a roughly circular enclosed area approximately 120m in diameter. A possible outer ditch is visible as a subtle earthwork up to 7m wide.

A roughly circular enclosure is visible as an earthwork. Only the southern half of the enclosure earthworks are visible. The possible enclosure is crossed by a former field boundary and any earthworks to the north-west of this relict boundary have been destroyed by historic marl pits. The north and north-east parts of the enclosure circuit may be preserved by extant field boundaries.
