Full description

Edwards, M. + Trick, S., 2023, Land at Venn Farm, Sowton, Devon: An Archaeological Magnetometer Survey (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV366098.

Substrata were commissioned by Cotswold Archaeology in 2023 to conduct an archaeological magnetometer survey of c. 19 hectares of land at Venn Farm on the outskirts of Exeter in Devon. Forty-one geophysical anomaly groups were detected of which all were interpreted as representing potential buried archaeological deposits.

Within Area B anomaly Group 3 represents a possible enclosure of uncertain date. It probably continues into Area C as anomaly Group 21.
