Full description
Edwards, M. + Trick, S., 2023, Land at Venn Farm, Sowton, Devon: An Archaeological Magnetometer Survey (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV366098.
Substrata were commissioned by Cotswold Archaeology in 2023 to conduct an archaeological magnetometer survey of c. 19 hectares of land at Venn Farm on the outskirts of Exeter in Devon. Forty-one geophysical anomaly groups were detected of which all were interpreted as representing potential buried archaeological deposits.
In area D, anomaly Group 40 is possibly an enclosure which may be circular in shape. However, most of the feature is beyond the survey area so the interpretation is tentative.
