A bank and external ditch are visible as earthworks defining a curvilinear enclosure.
Horner, B., 2024, Lidar interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366090.
A curvilinear earthwork bank and ditch are visible on images derived from lidar data enclosing an area approximately 74m by 86m in size, or just over 5000 square metres in area, on the south-west facing slope to the east of Buckeshayes Farm. The earthworks might represent a hillslope enclosure of later-prehistoric to Roman date that was fossilised within the medieval agricultural landscape and later enclosed by Buckeshayes Covert. Alternatively, the earthworks may simply represent intake of medieval date.
