A dark cropmark is visible on aerial photographs of May 2020 defining the ditch of a possible curvilinear enclosure on summit of the north west facing spur to the south west of Three Way Cross. The ditch corresponds in part to a field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Broadwoodkelly and is therefore probably at least of medieval date. However, it may represent an enclosure ditch of later prehistoric origin that was fossilised within the medieval field pattern.
