A ditched square enclosure is visible as a cropmark.

A ditched enclosure of probable prehistoric or Romano-British date is visible as a dark cropmark on aerial photographs of 2020, on the on the south facing slopes to the east of Four Cross Ways, south-east of North Tawton village. The cropmarks are 1.7 to 2m wide and define a rectilinear enclosure approximately 7.5m square. The function of the enclosure is unknown, but it may be funerary in origin.
