Full description

Projecting from the north, uphill, end of the house is a cider house. This is built of red cob but has been much repaired. The three bay roof is carried on two jointed cruck trusses and is now covered with corrugated iron, formerly thatch.
The results of a dendrochonological analysis undertaken on timbers in the building provided a felling date of 1563-88. The construction date of the cider house is therefore later than the anticipated date of c.1500.
