Full description

Environment Agency, 2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Lidar visualisation (Cartographic). SDV366001.

A linear bank and ditch are visible as subtle earthworks on the south-west facing slopes under the tree cover of Warboro Planation.

Hegarty, C., 2025, Comment on Unlocking Landscapes project and related lidar and aerial photograph interpretations (Interpretation). SDV366411.

A linear bank up to approximately 8m wide and external ditch of similar width are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data, on the south-west facing slopes under the tree cover of Warboro Planation. The earthworks define the west and south sides of a roughly rectangular enclosed area up to approximately 40m long, although this may be truncated by plantation tracks to the north and east. The earthwork is morphologically similar to enclosures of later prehistoric to Roman date, but it could be as late as medieval in origin.

Horner, B., 2025, Lidar interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366415.

Possible, faint, small square enclosure on western slope of plantation.
