A series of roughly parallel banks up to circa 10m wide and 170m long is visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data crossing the contours of the east-facing combe slopes to the east of Limers Cross. The banks are between 55m to 65m apart and may define the primary north-south axis part of a co-axial field system of prehistoric or Romano-British date. Lateral banks divide the intervening space into smaller plots. The visible earthworks do not correspond to any boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Combe Raleigh.
Horner, B., 2025, Lidar interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366415.
Banks of relic field system. No boundaries on historic mapping. Potentially prehistoric/RB.
