The visible earthworks do not correspond to any depicted boundaries.

Possible curvilinear banks or scarps are visible as earthworks on the south and east-facing slopes of Tor Hill, on images derived from lidar data. The curvilinear nature of the earthworks could support the interpretation that they are remains of field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval date. The earthworks do not correspond to any boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Staverton or the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map, and any corresponding boundary was therefore removed prior to the mid-19th century. It is possible that the apparent earthworks are natural and non-archaeological in origin, formed as part of the topography of Tor Hill.
Curvilinear earthwork banks and accompanying slight ditches on the north and north and north-west slopes of Tor Hill correspond to field boundaries shown on the historic mapping.
