One of two possible oval mounds are visible on images derived from lidar data as subtle earthworks up to approximately 20m across, on the south-east facing slopes below Dragberry Plantation, overlooking the River Yealm. The mounds could be the remains of barrows of Bronze Age date, possibly alluded to by the ‘berry’ element of the Dragberry field name.
Alternatively, the lidar data could be highlighting non-archaeological features, such as variations in natural topography or the remains of agricultural dumping.

Horner, B., 2025, Lidar interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366415.

Possible barrows on south-east side of Dragberry Plantation. Alternatively they could be rock outcrops or quarry spoil. See MDV58960.
