Curvilinear hollows are visible as earthworks on Burnt Common.

Earthwork hollows approximately 10m wide and over 600m in length are visible on images derived from lidar data crossing the east-facing slopes of Burnt Common, Sidmouth, on a mainly south-west to north-east alignment. The earthworks predate the enclosure of the common and are probably the remains of trackways of medieval or post-medieval date.
