A mound is visible as an earthwork.

A mound is visible on images derived from lidar data as an earthwork up to approximately 13m in diameter, on the south-east facing slopes of Afton Tor. The mound may be the remains of clearance cairn of medieval or post- medieval date, but an earlier origin is possible.
