A linear bank and flanking ditches or pits are visible as earthworks, aligned roughly north-east to south-west.

Hegarty, C., 2025, Comment on Unlocking Landscapes project and related lidar and aerial photograph interpretations (Interpretation). SDV366411.

A Roman road is visible on images derived from Lidar data as earthworks to the south of Heathfield, Lamerton and Brentor parishes. The visible earthworks comprise a slightly raised bank or agger aligned roughly north-east to south-west, on either side of which flanking ditches or quarry pits are intermittently visible. The agger is on average approximately 10m wide, with the ditches or pits up to 5m wide. In total this stretch of road is visible as an earthwork for approximately 1.2km. It is likely that this section of road met a second road to the east (MDV133425) at circa SX46967987
A section of roadside ditch was previously identified as a cropmark (MDV114297).
