An enclosure is visible as a low earthwork.

Hegarty, C., 2025, Comment on Unlocking Landscapes project and related lidar and aerial photograph interpretations (Interpretation). SDV366411.

A low earthwork bank approximately 6m wide is visible on images derived from Lidar data defining a D-shaped enclosure with interior dimensions of approximately 60m north to south by 47m east to west, at the summit of Clennon Hill. The enclosure is likely to be of later-prehistoric to Roman date. The roughly north to south aligned bank defining the eastern side of the possible enclosure is also visilble as a slight earthwork on aerial photographs of circa 1946. The lidar imagery indicates that an external ditch might also be present.
Several shallow pits are visible within the enclosure, but these are likely to be associated with post-medieval to modern extractive activity.

Horner, B., 2025, Lidar interpretation (Personal Comment). SDV366415.
