Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1969, 69/297, 030 (Aerial Photograph). SDV340686.

A rectilinear enclosure shown by dark ditches visible on aaerial photograph. Other linear ditches nearby.


Silvester, R. J., 1974, Untitled Source (Site Visit). SDV340684.

Ploughed fairly recently. One sherd of pottery: abraded, fairly hard red fabric with medium grits. Similar to medieval pottery from Dartington North Wood.

Rectangular ditched enclosure about 80 metres by 50 metres, entrance in east side. Recorded as cropmark in 1984.

Western enclosure coincides with a faint terrace in the slope. Main enclosure on even south slope, possible slight ridge 20 metres above and parallel with hedge. Eastern cropmarks on south slope, nothing visible. Other details: Photographs A27 & A28.
