Summary report of 1967 excavations.

Hurst, D. G., 1968, Untitled Source, 175-176 (Article in Serial). SDV8366.

Building associated with Brazen Ward artillery fort. A section put across the main chamber revealed massive walls and cobbled floor interpreted as a possible powder store. Pottery suggests it predates the Civil War by 100 years. Possibly associated with Elizabeth I's warnings to the Grenvilles to defend Lundy against the Spanish.

Thomas, J., 1978, A History of Lundy, 1390-1775, 140 (Article in Serial). SDV1273.

Main building of two rooms, one with 2 metre thick walls, possibly a powder chamber. Later Tudor pottery found here, attributed to the 1590s.
