The pit remains clearly visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2015. The pit corresponds with a small area of limestone geology and was probably associated with a quarry pit interpreted limestone quarry immediately to the south-west (MDV125288). The lime kiln is depicted on the current MasterMap layer and was not transcribed by the survey.
