Full description

Worthy, C., 1883, Berry Castle and its Ancient Lords, 436 (Article in Serial). SDV15361.

Sister of Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Pomeroy of Ingesdon, is buried here. Inscription: "Here lyeth Thomasyn Prideaux ye first wife of Nicholas Prideaux gentilman ye eldest daughter & one of the heires of John Hengscote of Hengscote esquire decessed, wych Thomasyn dyed ye xvi day of August 1573".
