Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Woodbarton Farm is shown as two adjoining yards with the farmhouse forming the southern side of the southern yard. The northern yard is smaller with two ranges of buildings on the east and west sides, that on the west with a horse engine house. To the west of the farmstead is a large orchard while to the north-east old clay pits are depicted.

Woodbarton, previously known as Orway Porch and Orway's Hayes was Hewisa in domesday. It was held by Hamo of William Capra. Before the conquest it was held by Wichin. In 1285, William de Orweye held it. Orway Porch should not be confused with Orway.
