Full description
Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 234,235,238 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.
Atworthy, or Hatworthy, was Atteworth in Domesday. It belonged to Ralf de Pomeray. In 1166, the Black Book of the Exchequer shows that it was held by Richard, son of Pagan of Putteford. In 1241, the Testa de Nevil records that it was held by Richard de Putteford.
