Full description
Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 199,230,239 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.
Leworthy was Loveworth in Domesday, and was held by Juhel of Totnes. Before the conquest it was held by Alured, or Aluered. In 1241, Testa de Nevil records that it was held of Reginald de Valletorta.
