Full description

Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 231,239 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.

Fernhill was Fernhille in Domesday. It was a submanor in Clawton, held by Juhel of Totnes. Before the conquest it was held by Alured, or Aluered. It is mentioned in the 1241 Testa de Nevil.
