Full description

Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 203,207,214-5,240 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.

Beaworthy was Begeurda in Domesday. It was held by William de Poillei. Before the conquest it was held by Leuric. It was later the estate of Mandevil and then Bloyho. In 1241, Isabella Bloyho and Gilbert de Langeford held it as recorded in Testa de Nevil. Other details: 1928-1938.
