A ring ditch of probable Bronze Age to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on the gentle slopes to the south-east of Waterleat House. Several cropmark ring ditches are visible in this area, probably forming a dispersed barrow cemetery. The cropmark is up to 2 metres wide and defines an enclosed area approximately 15 metres in diameter. No internal features distinct from background geological conditions were confidently identified.
