Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of South Molton in Early Times, 66,69,74-76,83,84,85,95,420 (Article in Monograph). SDV73380.

Blackpool, recorded in domesday as Blacapola, was wrongfully added to the Manor of Molland. Early descents of Blackpool are given.


Reichel, O. J., 1929 - 1938, The One-time Hundred of Molland in Early Times, 529 (Unknown). SDV338403.

Higher Blackpool. In domesday Blackpool was Blacapola. Notwithstanding its annexation to Molland, it appears in the fee lists of South Molton, and must have belonged to the Hundred of South Molton before 1084. It was held by the king. Before the conquest it was held by Earl Harold
