ELLIOT, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV122415.

In the cove a little above the greystone, close to ramilles hole, lie the remains of the blesk, a russian oil-tank steamer, which came ashore in a fog at the end of the 19th century (elliot).

Vis=17-dec-1985 very broken wreckage to be found on east and west sides of the greystone, in general depth of 10m (nmr).


MCDONALD, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV81395.

Blesk, carrying 3,180 tons of petrol-oil crashed into the greystone at 10 knots in december 1896 and broke in two. The largest section lies to the east of the greystone in very shallow water (mcdonald).
