The Angel House Inn. The building is mentioned in 1605 occupying the site of the present Angel Inn, close to the Chapel of Allhallows.

Dated 06/07/1972. Probably early 19th century, 3 storey, roughcast, 4 windows, sash, with centre glazing bars, wood bracket eaves cornice, slate roof hipped. Way through under, left. Important position next to St Paul's Church.

In High Street, one of the buildings of note is the Angel Hotel (103), a tall three storey Victorian frontage with an archway and long ranges behind - a traditional large inn plan. The statutory list regards Numbers 103 to 107 (odd), New Dolphin Hotel, Numbers 111 to 115 (odd), and Numbers 119 to 125 (odd) as a cohesive group. Maps.
