Full description

Treadwin, Mrs., 1883, Devonshire Lace., 232 (Article in Serial). SDV350153.

Tomb in the churchyard of the parish church of St Michael and All Angels Church. A table tomb in the churchyard with the following inscription on brass inserted on it: 'here lyeth ye body of James Rodge, of Honiton, in ye county of Devonshire, (bone lace-silier, hath given unto the poore of Honiton p'ishe, the benyfitt of £100 for ever) who deceased ye 27 of July AD1617. Aetatae sv ae 50. Remember the poore'.
