At Luppitt a grist mill powered by water. Four-storey mill building built of stone with ashlar coigns and slate roof. Building dated 1875 although there are documentary references from as early as 1780 and the nearby dwelling is probably older. Water for power supplied by leat from river Otter. The overshot wheel and machinery are all in good repair despite disuse since 1939.
