Full description

Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Shebbear in Early Times, 540,582 (Article in Monograph). SDV7713.

Stowford was part of Bulkworthy, or Buchesurda, in Domesday. It was held by Ansger the Breton of the Count of Mortain. Before the conquest it was held by Robert, son of Ivo.
