Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Holland is recorded as Holond[e] in 1281 and 1381.

Hoskins, W. G., 1942 - 1946, Devonshire Gentry in Carolean Times (Article in Serial). SDV44634.

Holland appears as Halland in records of the mid 17th century, part of lands belonging to Bidlake in Bridestowe. It probably came into the hands of the Bidlakes by a marriage of 1408.

Dyer, M. J. + Manning, P. T., 1998, Objective 5B: Lower Tamar Valley Recreation and Land Management Iinitiative: Cultural Heritage Appraisal, 8 (Report - non-specific). SDV319814.

Holland farmstead is first recorded as Holond(e) in 1281 'the farm in the hollow/valley' from the Old English 'holh' (hollow and land). It appears as Hulland in 17th century records.

Child, P., 2000, Countryside Stewardship: Implement Shed at Holland Farm, Kelly (Correspondence). SDV366618.

The buildings at Holland Farm include an unusual and attractive implement shed which forms a yard with a large bank barn and contemporary stables to the south-west. The implement shed appears originally to have been open on both sides with pillars of Hurdwick stone but the rear elevation has now been filled in. The pillars on the front have been replaced by two granite piers to create a wider opening. There are also stone piers at the south end of each gable wall. The roof and gables are clad with corrugated iron, suggesting that the building was originally thatched with hipped ends.
The farmhouse is a Grade II listed building with late 16th century origins and there is also a combined granary and dairy of c.1820 which is also listed.
