Summary

Ceramic Terrace was built circa 1900 for workers at the Litchdon Street Potteries. A gap in the terrace, widened by the demolition of one of the houses in the 1960s, gave access to the pottery.

Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.

Terrace of twelve houses on the west side of Trinity Street in Barnstaple. The houuses are arranged with four to the north of a gap leading into the yard to the west and eight houses to the south.

Ceramic Terrace, Trinity Street. Brick terrace of twelve houses built by Brannams on land at rear of their Litchdon Street Pottery in about 1900. A gap in the terrace gave access from Trinity Street to the pottery. This gap was widened by the demolition of one house in the 1960s.
