Summary
Bickleigh Mill is now a craft centre but the machinery has been restored with an undershot waterwheel from Dulverton. In the mid 19th century the mill had two waterwheels driving five pairs of stones. A mill at Bickleigh is referred to in Domesday Survey.

Domesday cornmill in present use as a craft centre. Has an undershot wheel of cast iron, 10ft by 2ft. Leat comes from a weir 0.5 to 0.75 miles away. Tail race rejoins river Exe. Machinery was originally in Dulverton

Sale notice in Exeter Flying Post, 15 February 1849, states that the mill 'contains five pair of stones, worked by two water wheels'. A subsequent sale notice in 1869 also referred to five pairs of stones and that the 'mill house, dwelling house and buildings are stone built and slated and in good repair'.
