Three mills called 'parke mills' were mentioned in 1681 and three grist mills and one malt mill were recorded at 'park mills' in 1753. In 1860 'parkway mills' had a water wheel driving two pairs of stones and 'complete machinery and gear'. 'parkway mill' is between 'town mill' and 'palace mill' at the south end of 'mill leat' (bodman).
