Summary

The foundations of a building with substantial lime mortar floors were found here by mr leigh, a local contractor. He later identified the site as 'arthur's hayne' from 'an old map'. The existing house named arthurs hayne (at ss95422281) is new, and was so called after mr leigh passed the information to the new owners (leigh).
