MAXFIELD IN KEPPIE, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV38901.

A large rectangular field c 2.24 ha in area, lying astride putative road, not undoubtedly a fort (maxfield in keppie).

Possible roman fort. A 'suspicious looking square field' astride the line of the roman road west of the r troney (formerly the 'nymed'). Walked by stevens for pottery without result (stevens in megaw).

Rapid examination of ap shows the field but no indications of a fort. The road does not seem to be visible (nmr citing miller).
