Combe Raleigh Mill mentioned in the 18th century. In 1807 it was described as 'Coomberawleigh Mills' consisting of a 'dwelling house and water grist mills with the garden, orchard, courts and appurtenances'. The mill was supplied by an 800 yard long leat from Luppitt Brook with a launder to an overshot wheel. The mill burnt down in 1890 & by 1948 all traces of the mill had gone apart from a millstone & the course of the leat.
