Gristmill. Building has hydro-electric power turbines which are still in operation. 19th century building of stone and slate.

There are documentary references to mills in Staverton in 1383 and 1586. Bodman quotes from Hemery's 'Historic Dart' according to which the corn milling business ceased at Staverton Town Mill in 1925. It was bought by the Dartington Trust in the early 1930s who installed turbines for electricity generation. It has now been converted to domestic accommodation.
